Year 7 students meet in the school gymnasium where they are allocated to Care groups and participate in orientation activities throughout the day before starting classes.
Year 12 students also participate in Senior School Orientation.
Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 students return to school on the following day.
School day school starts at 8.40 am and finishes at 3.10 pm every day except Wednesday, it ends at 2.30 pm.

If you have any concerns or issues about your child please contact their Care Teacher in the first instance or the Senior Leader for Junior School (7/8), Middle School (9/10), or Senior School (11/12) dependent on your student’s year level.
The School newsletter is published twice a term and is available on our web site. This also includes a link to the school calendar of important upcoming events and school sporting activities.
If your child feels unwell they should report to the Front Office. If the problem is serious, Parents/Caregivers are contacted.
Due to Department for Education policy we are not able to issue paracetamol to any student. Students may carry and administer their own. Please ensure that the school has names and phone numbers for emergency contacts.
When the temperature reaches 36° on the Bureau of Meteorology – Edinburgh Observation website http://www.bom.gov.au/sa/observations/saall.shtml?ref=hdr, an announcement over the school speakers will be broadcast to advise students to go indoors as follows during recess and lunch.

As an air-conditioned school the presentation of the curriculum will continue unless an emergency is declared. However on the 3rd consecutive school day of temperatures reaching 36° or above families can opt to keep students in years 7-10 home for the day. Year 11 & 12 students are expected to attend each day.
On days when the expected temperature is forecast to be 40° or over families can opt to keep students home for the day.
To ensure the safety of students traveling to and from school, there is no early dismissal.
There is no stationery list. Stationery is provided throughout students classes. It is recommended that students provide a pencil case with standard equipment within. A USB is valuable to be able to backup work when working on their laptops.
Student ID and Student Family photographs are taken early in Term one.
