It is my privilege to welcome you to the Salisbury High School website.
Danni Margan
This website will provide you with a guide to what our school has to offer. Our overarching aim is to see students successfully placed in higher education, training, employment or community service. Our vision is to empower students to create successful futures.

It is an honour to lead a school with such a strong identity, a rich history of achievement, and a community that genuinely believes in the potential of every young person. Our aim is simple and unwavering: to empower students to create successful futures through high-quality learning, genuine care, and exceptional opportunities.
At Salisbury High School, we have unapologetically high expectations for students learning and behaviour.
These expectations reflect our belief that every student is capable of academic success and personal growth, and that strong learning habits and developing their dispositions prepare young people for life beyond school.
We are proud to be a diverse and inclusive school community, now representing over 30 cultural backgrounds, all contributing to the vibrant fabric of our school. We also have a high percentage of Aboriginal students, whose cultures, identities, and voices are deeply valued and respected across our curriculum, wellbeing structures, and community partnerships. Our commitment to inclusion is reflected every day in our teaching, our relationships, and the way we celebrate the diversity of our students.
Our Special Education Unit continues to thrive, supporting over 70 students with disabilities. Additionally, we also have many students with additional needs within our mainstream classrooms. The entire school community plays an active role in ensuring all students are welcomed, supported, and given every opportunity to belong, participate, and achieve. Salisbury High School prioritises inclusion, and will remain, a place where every student—regardless of background, ability, or starting point—can succeed.
Academic excellence continues to be a hallmark of our school. We are proud to maintain 100% SACE completion for over 10 years, a testament to the dedication of our staff, the determination of our students, and the strong support from families. Many of our students go on to university, further training, apprenticeships, or meaningful employment, and we actively support each young person to find and follow their pathway.
Our staff—teachers, SSOs, and support teams—are committed to continuous improvement. They work collaboratively to design engaging, challenging and inclusive learning experiences that help students develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they need for a rapidly changing world. Their professionalism, enthusiasm and care create learning environments where students feel safe, supported, and inspired.
At Salisbury High School, students take great pride in their learning, and there is a strong personal expectation that they will fulfil and reach their full potential. We provide a range of targeted intervention programs to ensure every student is building strong literacy skills, with reading as a high priority in every classroom.
Ongoing diagnostic testing and our five‑weekly reporting cycle give students and families’ clear, regular feedback on progress, ensuring everyone is informed and supported. Alongside this, improving numeracy skills is a key current focus, with staff working intentionally to strengthen mathematical understanding across all year levels. We are also proud to offer an on-site Tailored Learning program that provides personalised timetables and individualised learning pathways, ensuring students receive the support they need to engage in learning and achieve success.
Our school is supported by a highly committed Governing Council that meets twice each term to make important decisions on behalf of all parents and caregivers. Their partnership, insight, and advocacy play a vital role in shaping the direction of our school. I strongly encourage families to consider joining this group of significant contributors to Salisbury High School’s continued improvement and success.
