How to Enrol

Your Journey Starts Here

Our values

Begin your learning journey at Salisbury High School.

New Enrolments

Please be aware that our school is at near capacity. We are a zoned school. When at capacity, we can only enrol students within our school zone.

It is therefore essential to contact our Front Office to complete an enrolment enquiry form. One of our Senior Leaders will then establish if vacancies exist in your child’s current year level. Enrolment enquiries can be made by contacting the school on 8182 0200.

If no vacancies exist, you will be redirected to your zoned school and offered a place on our waiting list.

School Enrolment Policy

Admission to Salisbury High School is dependent upon a family residing in the school zone at the time of their child commencing school.

A student’s birth certificate and proof of residency within the Salisbury High School Zone will be requested upon application for enrolment.

Starting Secondary School Registration

Year 6 students attending a government primary school will receive a Starting Secondary school pack via a registration of interest email from their primary school.Year 6 students who are enrolled at a non-government school can get a Starting Secondary school pack from their local government secondary school, local education office or by emailing: education.startingsecondaryschool@sa.gov.au

All completed registration of interest forms and supporting documentation need to be completed and submitted via email (to the above email address) by the end of week 4 in Term 2.

Registrations received outside of the enrolment time frame will need to contact the Department for Education directly and may need to be put on a waiting list.

Allocation Process

Once your child has been allocated a place in a High School you will receive a secondary school allocation pack from the enrolling school in mid-August via email.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your school allocation, you can request a review of the allocation process. Information regarding the review process and timelines will be included in the allocation pack provided by the enrolling secondary school.

Alternatively, if you do not want your child to attend their allocated school, you can approach other secondary schools directly. If they have the capacity, the school may accept your request for enrolment or they will offer for them to be added to a waiting list if no position is available.

Finalising Your Enrolment

Enrolment at our school is dependent on:

    • proof of your child’s identity and date of birth
    • any family law or other relevant court orders
    • proof of the student’s residential address.

Your application for year 7 will only be finalised by the secondary school once they have received your child’s completed enrolment form and satisfactory proof of identity and residence.

For help filling out the enrolment form, please contact the school.

Overseas and non-permanent residents

Students who are not permanent residents of Australia may enrol in a South Australian government secondary school, subject to the conditions determined by their visa sub-class.

These documents need to be provided to the school when submitting your child’s enrolment enquiry.
